Test Specialist

Test Specialist - 12 month contract - outside IR35 - Hatfield

Arcas Technology is currently partnered with a UK based IT Consultancy, they are looking for an experienced Test Specialist to work for one of their key clients on a 12 month contract.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for co-ordination of test model build and maintenance to ensure test schedules can be delivered, working in conjunction with design & infrastructure solutions teams as required
• Plan and oversee full lifecycle integration testing to support complex projects
• Co-ordinate a diverse team and create the initial test scheduled to delivery all aspect of testing to time, budget, and quality targets
• Proactively monitor day-to-day activities to ensure all objectives are achieved, reviewing reports and statistics to unblock any issues
• Interact with customers and senior internal stakeholders to gather insight and feedback to inform testing requirements and approach
• Accountable for test strategy, associated test plans and specifications to quality standards. Reporting on projects and systems under test to required timescales
• Proactive management of defects and project risks, to ensure that appropriate focus is maintained, and project timescales are not adversely impacted
• Continual improvement and adaption of working practices, to develop automation strategy for all projects, development of automated test cases to agreed schedule

Skills Required:

• Coach and empower teams to anticipate and analyse obstacles in work processes. Support them to develop solutions and implement ways to improve processes and make things more efficient
• Conduct a deep review of data and issues to quickly reveal the root cause. Recommend short and long-term solutions to complex problems and follow through to make sure they are resolved
• Build and apply insight about emerging technology to develop and deliver new digital solutions. Break complex information down into understandable language
• Demonstrate subject matter expertise in complex, technical infrastructure, products and services. Develop bespoke solutions to meet short, medium, and long-term customer needs
• Source information and monitor the performance and quality of processes, infrastructure, products and services
• Write basic code. Develop and test complex or non-routine digital software and platforms to make sure they meet design requirements
• Acknowledged expert in key domain (test process, voice quality, signaling, non-functional test, IP platforms & networks, interconnect)
• Ability to engage with design, delivery, and operational stakeholders to ensure appropriate technical discussion and feedback is incorporated into test specification. Vendor engagement regarding new features and issues found in test
